Charles Burn is co-founder of Wexford and a Chartered Accountant. He has over 25 years of accounting experience, working in diverse roles. This includes working as a group accountant in a blue chip multinational, a partner in his own auditing firm and as a financial director in a company that he had the pleasure listing with a team of executives. Through his experience in various sectors, he has gained valuable insight into the accounting environment and needs of different-sized organisations. For the past 12 years, he has dedicated his time to building the Wexford business, which has grown from strength-to-strength based on its success in meeting client needs.
Janet Burn is co-founder of Wexford and a former educator and head of department for a girl’s junior school in Johannesburg. Her innate ability to read people accounts for her success as a specialist recruiter as she can instantly identify a candidate’s strengths and determine the type of environment they are most suited to. Janet spends time teaching these skills to the wider team, to improve their effectiveness in placing candidates. The success of this approach, combined with hard recruitment skills and knowledge is what underpins the success of Wexford as a specialist South African and African accounting recruitment firm.
